To echo the others, many many thanks for organizing this Mike, and keeping it up in a very timely manner throughout the whole season.

As for my 2nd place, it was a case of consistently doing just ok. I dont think I ever came close to winning any individual race prediction. Definitely a Merc to Richard's RB.

And a big thank you from me as well, Mike. This thread is always an oasis from the rancour of much of the rest of the BBS, and the huge amount of work you put in to enable us to enjoy our little competition and gossip generally is greatly appreciated. I also learn a lot from the rest of you, so thank you all for that as well.

I've just got back from Abu Dhabi. It was only the fourth GP I've been to live, but in my limited experience I have to say that they run a great Grand Prix. The racing was pretty good - with quite a lot of overtaking, even if the winner was never in doubt from the moment his car started up successfully. We were in the West Grandstand at the end of the long straight, and there was plenty of action as the braked hard into that very tight left-hand turn. There was also plenty going on around the circuit and free concerts every night (saw Shania Twain & the Foo Fighters). Your GP ticket also gets you a day's entry to one on the local theme parks (I terrified myself on the coasters at Ferrari World), but there are interesting sights to see in the city - I also visited the beautiful Grand Mosque and went round the Abu Dhabi Louvre art gallery.

And, as for this year's prediction league, I'd like to thank everyone back at the factory ... etc. etc. ...

See you all next year, when I shall return to the bottom end of the table.
