Not sure what this post means. Half of my ancestors were starved out of Cork/Kerry due to faddy eating, most of the rest were English peasants (a role I continue to do), and then there's a bit of Icelandic. I'm fairly sure I or anyone else on here* are not responsible for the Great Hunger.

I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful St Patrick's Day and celebrated that historic rugby result by getting hammered with their mates. I like Guinness AND the many other decent stouts and porters that exist.

Guinness is a session beer. There are some stouts here that are 7.3% that makes for a short evening. Useful if you arrive late and playing catch up, though.

I made it to the Dead Rabbit at the bottom point of NYC as a change from the myriad of Irish bars in midtown NYC which are pretty much all the same and I finally got to hear some proper live Irish fiddle de dee music but I’m guessing they have that on every weekday (not sure how it’s won numerous worlds best bar awards but it’s worth a trip for a couple of drinks)
