The BBC site is full of comments about Fulham setting a bad example to kids. Fernandes diving again seems to be completely ignored. It's pathetic how desperately the BBC want to gloss over Utd's behaviour.

That’s the fifth time in 30 years that Sheff Utd have made the FA Cup semi final.

Only once have they been a Prem club when doing so. The other four have been as a 2nd and 3rd tier side.

That’s some record.

I feel for Fulham, but hopefully Manure can get some dodgy VAR decisions to knock Brighton out in a painful and unjust way. Or Man City humiliate them in the final.

At least Brighton didn't get Sheffield United and Man City should await in the final.

Without their two Man City loanees, Sheffield have no chance in the semi final.

The seaweed have to beat both Manchester clubs to win the cup. Two thoughts - firstly, if they do that they deserve to win it and secondly, despite being media darlings these days there's no way the football authorities want anyone other than the Manchester clubs to win it, so it won't happen.

Oh and the wanking over the seaweed during commentary that went on earlier, including from Jonathan Pierce, was nauseating in the extreme.

The Fulham sendings off are really bad news with them playing our relegation rivals in the next 3 games. Shit timing.

Willian should only be 1 game.

Mitrovic could be most of the season depending on what the FA decide!

I think he'll be lucky to only get a six game ban, as he wasn't Cassamiro, who should also be facing a similar lengthy ban

To be honest, if rather Brighton won it rather than United or City. They might be rivals, and a constant source of irritation, but they're at least a proper team. I can't help but respect their season and achievements in recent years.

They've gone from league 1 also rans, to having three players in a World Cup winning squad, likely too ten finish and possibly even a trophy or European spot. Rivals they maybe, with history, But Ithey mean more to me than City or Utd.

But if Sheffield Utd could win it, then I'd be much happier.

Maybe it's my age but the back chatting and general behaviour towards the ref needs to e dealt with.

I'd say any swearing or hand gesture to a ref after a decision is a yellow. Be strict and managers will soon drum it out of players.

Mitrovic clearly over stepped and deserved a red. You see players throw their arms up and shout F Off at the ref many times a game. I'd stop this.

The dark days of Man U players surround Andy Dorso are coming back.

I'd also say that after a decision is made, only the player(s) involved and the captain can speak to the ref.

Put the refs mics on the TV. Will soon stop it. Also allows to see what the refs ideas and thoughts are. It works very well in rugby. Why not learn from other sports.

It needs to stop too because there's a refereeing shortage in this country because this sort of stuff filters down.

Mitrovic now been charged by the FA beyond standard violent conduct and could get a very lengthy ban.

Spot on. If the authorities wanted to deal with it they’d bring in automatic yellow cards for anyone other than the captain talking to a ref, and stricter punishments for abuse.

I also think having refs explain things ala rugby is a good idea.

The FA are culpable for allowing Fernandez to commit common assault on the referee's assistant

They have sent a message that it is okay to abuse match officials if you play for a big club but we will make an example of a player from a small club if they do the same

Although I hate anything to do with the Wankers. The assistant hand just grabbed Fernandez then got in his way as he was running back and it was a Pat at best not a shove. Mitrovic was screaming pushing and up in his face. Fernandez was wrong but the two cases are completely different.

You are off your feckin head.

Two of the teams that have never won anything are Brighton and Palace.

Everyone agrees. The issue is the punishment is never handed out fairly. There was barely any of this talk when Fernandes did it...now people are asking for a year long ban and community service.

It extends to everything....Haaland clotheslines or highboots someone and it is ignore...a player from a regular team gets sent off.

Reverse that position on Sunday, and I would wager that even if Man U get the penalty, 1 red card would be the absolute maximum they suffer. The pundits would side with the enraged Man Utd player, and the media would not be demanding 10 game bans.

I don't want any changes unless there is a clear understanding that punishments will be equitably handed out to all.

We see it every single game...big club opposition commits 5 fouls and no booking. Palace player in the book first foul.

We have seen far too much to trust fair treatment across the board.

I want to see referees having to answer to managers' reviews and both sides published for us to read. The same with VAR decisions.
